Replacement Transfer Case Shell
Get the replacement transfer case rear half that fixes inherent weaknesses built into OEM transfer cases that came with the vehicle you have. If your vehicle has one of the following models, your transfer case may end up with oil leaks.
Transfer Case Models Affected: NP136, NP149, NP236, NP246, NP261HD, NP263HD, 261XHD, 263XHD
Problem Details:
The pressure from the oil pump against the rear case half causes pin holes to develop, then oil leaks out of the transfer case. It happens so slowly that you do not even realize it until you are out of business. This is called the oil pump rub.
High Gear's special replacement shell half for the rear of these transfer cases fixes that issue. They are made of heavy grade aluminum, not thin magnesium. In addition, these replacement upgrades correct a snap ring groove problem and require no adapter plate. You will appreciate the durability and craftsmanship High Gear has built into these parts.
